Description
Customer Reviews
We understand that your in a hurry to get your parts and our staff works hard to keep our customers happy! These typically ship in around 1-3 business days!
The factory draglink on the 2005-24 trucks is a known weak link in the steering system. There are a few causes for the weakness but the majority lies within the design of the split collar adjusting sleeve. This allows the rod to flex when put under a load caused by road variations or steering input. Increased tires and lift size adds even more stress to this part. Upgrading to our single piece unit will eliminate ALL flex and tighten up the feel of your steering wheel. This is an upgrade that you can notice a night and day difference in the second you open the box and lay the two side by side. We use a heavy wall single piece DOM tube and CNC single point thread the bar for the strongest possible threads. We dont weld in tube adapters to eliminate the concern of a weld failing resulting in a loss of control of your vehicle.
We have two versions of this bar.
A "Direct Replacement" which comes with a XRF Platinum series of tie rod end that will fit.
The second is our "Offroad" version. This uses a much stronger and MUCH more durable 1" FK heim. We custom machine from high strength 17-4 stainless steel to fit the oem taper of the pitman arm with a built in safety washer on the opposite side. We also supply a custom High Strength Grade 9 bolt for even more security! Because this uses a heim and not all states allow a heim to be used in your steering system, we list this product as an offroad only item. If you live in a state that allows heims to be used, the offroad version is BY FAR our recommended option. One thing to note, the heims slightly larger diameter may create clearance problems with some aftermarket drop track bar brackets when turning all the way to steering stop.
Since the entire bar spins when adjusted, it cannot have a tapered hole for a OEM style of steering stabilizer as it would never align properly. It is recommend to run a dual steering stabilizer kit or a stabilizer that clamps on the outside of the bar (OD is 1.5") instead.
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR THE "WIDETRACK" DANA SUPER 60 AXLE FOUND IN THE 450/550 TRUCKS AND SOME DUAL REAR WHEEL 350 TRUCKS WHEN EQUIPPED.
Rod is powdercoated black wrinkle for a long lasting finish.
As an option for a complete R&R, we have a heavy duty XRF lower/passenger side tie rod end available for purchase separately.

Drag link
I ordered the offroad version and it felt very solid and heavy duty. My steering feels a lot tighter and the truck drives and rides 100 times better. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Replacement draglink
I swapped out my OE draglink for the factory replacement style, its very beefy and is stiff, should last a lifetime- another excellent product, I'm slowly swapping out all my components for PMF parts- I use my truck on a farm/ranch doing a lot of work/towing in places a stock truck wouldn't make it out alive-

Single Piece DragLink (Direct Replacement Style)
I installed my single piece drag link (direct replacement version) last night on my 6" lifted '12 F250 and what a difference it made. Its a incredibly heavy duty piece that is a huge upgrade over a stock drag link. I loved seeing that the Moog ball joints had zerk grease fittings too, I much prefer to grease than to buy a 'sealed' ball joint. It now steers like a new truck again, the install was as straight forward and simple as they come and it only took me an hour in my driveway. Cant say enough about this part. I also ordered the Moog (steering knuckle side) for good measure since I already had everything apart and was glad I did - I'm just as impressed with the quality of it. Install both pieces together and you CANT GO WRONG, just order it! NOTE: To break loose the old ball joints from the steering knuckle and the Pittman arm I had a second person get in the truck with it running and move the steering wheel back and forth while I tapped on the ball joints out with a 3lb sledge. Only took a couple minutes and they popped right out!

Drag link
Ordered the off road version drag link for my 2005 f350 with a 10" lift. Part is very well made and removed all the play (flexing) that i previously had with the OEM drag link pushing 38" tires. Like others reviews i have read you can really feel the difference. Now the main reason for this review; Upon receiving and starting to install the drag link it was found that while installing the jam nut on the tie rod end of the drag link, that the jam nut had a bad thread half way in the center of the nut. At this point i was stuck. After calling PMF suspension and explaining my situation I found out this is a custom threaded nut fabricated in house and is not found anywhere. They immediately sent me another jam nut 2nd day air! I was back on the road in 2 days. I can not express enough the excellent customer support that is so hard to find these days. Not only is the drag link of excellent quality, but so is the customer support! Thanks again PMF!
