When you lift your truck the steering rod angles increase, this combined with the addition of larger tires creates a much higher stress on your steering box aswell as increasing your turning radius. A crossover steering kit will get your steering angles back in line and allow full lock to lock turning for a stock turning radius (12" or less lifts assuming your rims have the proper backspacing). This is a must for any truck with a 10" lift or bigger and is recommended on an 8" lift.
Complete crossover steering kit that will fit 1999-2004 Ford Superduty F250 F350 F450 and Excursion 4x4 models (any early 99 models will need a different pitman arm). This includes drop pitman arm, 2- tie rod ends, tie rod, and crossover knuckle. Kit is brand new and will work with lifts from 8-24".
Special notes: Will only work on trucks with an 8" lift or larger. If using the heim joint version, you will need to drill the pitman arm and knuckle to accept the non tapered bolt. Its recommended to replace upper and lower ball joints during installation.
