PMF is proud to manufacture our components inhouse here in the wonderful US! We use top quality coatings from PPG, Prismatic, Columbia, and more which are applied here inhouse using the nicest Gema coating system available on the market today. While our standard finish is a PPG semi gloss black wrinkle powder coat, we can also offer custom colors and finishes for an additional cost. When you enter into the custom color world, the possibilities are almost endless! In the meantime, please look over the websites of the previously mentioned powder suppliers to get an idea of what color your are wanting so we can provide you with accurate pricing. Prismatic is our most common supplier for custom colors.
Please note, we offer this service to try and make it as easy as possible for any customer to build the vehicle of their dreams! Many customers aren't near good powder coat facilities and having this done would be a very difficult task. We appreciate all of the awesome coaters across the US and have no desire to take business away from them. We are always happy to send a kit out in a bare finish so that you can work one on one with your local facility! With that being said, we are a production oriented manufacturer. Powder coating is not our primary focus. If you are wanting super intricate, multi color, multi finish, complex coating that is absolutely flawless, it would be best to work with a company whose sole focus is specialty coatings.
Custom colors require us to break down our production line and clean out our racks, gun, booth, and oven. We work custom colors into our busy production schedule as best we can, but this will delay your order some so PLEASE be patient.
Once a color is selected, we CUSTOM ORDER the powder specifically for you. If you change your mind, even a couple hours later, you will have a fee for the powder that was ordered. Once we have scheduled to spray your order, modifications CANNOT be made!
We have many custom plugs and masking methods specific for our products to ensure the items are coated properly. We are however a production manufacturer. We use our standardized operations and procedures to ensure the best possible production coating for your order. The customer must understand and accept that there may be small imperfections or flaws. If its something major, we will always redo the part before it ever leaves our facility.
CUSTOM COLORS HAVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY FROM DATE OF PURCHASE FOR WORKMANSHIP AND DEFECTS. DAMAGE FROM ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OR ROAD HAZARDS/DEBRIS WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY FOR ANY REASON. WARRANTY IS AT THE SOLE DESCRETION OF PMF. SHOULD SOMETHING BE DEEMED COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, CUSTOMER WILL NEED TO SHIP THE ITEM(S) TO OUR FACILITY TO BE RECOATED. PMF IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LABOR, SHIPPING, OR ANY OTHER EXPENSES! COATING OF ANY SORT OF SPRING STEEL WILL VOID THE WARRANTY OF THAT ITEM! UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED, WE DO NOT COAT COIL SPRINGS, LEAF SPRINGS, PITMAN ARMS, OR UBOLTS.
